We often drive over an hour just to go to eat at The Palms. You cant beat the cut of meat for the price and its nice to go after being at the beach all day or just for a nice evening out. Family friendly. Great atmosphere!

If you don't mind a little work..

This place was built as a hotel 100 years ago, and now is a restaurant. It is a local hangout and is very busy on weekends. There are a few dinners that you can get cooked for you, such as fried shrimp and scalops, but this is pretty much a cook it youself place. They give you a large slab of excellent quality meat or fish, and you do the grilling. Diners include a salad bar, bread, and beans. A filet mignon diner of this quality and size would be around $30 in most places, but is only $14 here...but you have to do the work. Drinks are properly poured, and reasonably priced.
