Longtime winemaking collaborators' rustic outpost and namesake location for small, backroads trail of tasting rooms offers famed Pinot Noirs, more..
In Short
Located on the northern end of the Foxen Canyon Trail, the playful--and easy to miss--roadside shack exterior gives way to stunning vineyard views. The deck is pleasant for mind-clearing relaxation. As the saying goes, "if you don't know Foxen, you know know Dick ... or Bill," in reference to founding partners Dick Dore and Bill Wathen, who can be viewed in old hippie regalia on wall-mounted photos. Wines benefit from a mutual admiration of French style, evident particulary in the dry Chenin Blanc. Pinot Noirs tend to be more fruit-forward.
