Major concern!!! – I took my family to hometown buffet tonight 4/18/2011---- 7:30pm to celebrate my son birthday. 9 adults and 5 kids (one baby). as we r getting our food. an employee a (male) had seen one of my son drop a corndog. and instead of being friendly and help out he had said that the children has to be supervise. and my son is 7 years old. and i was not even far away from him. and then we were still inside the restaurant walking slowly to head out and my kids n i took 1 each cookies. and we were eating as we walking. we were still inside the restaurant and still far away from the door. and that same employee above he was at the cashier helping other customer and said out loud to us that we cannot take food out. remember we just had 1 cookies each by the time we get out of the door the cookies will be gone. and plus he cannot be saying that because we r still inside the restaurant and still far away from the door. i felt really embarrased over at the restaurant because he said so loud alot of people heard it. and it sounds like we are taking like a plate home. its just a cookie. and we were eating it as we we were walking.
he should've came up to me and said it nicely next to me instead of saying it loud. at first i sat down and started eating the rest of the cookies but i felt really hurt and embarrased. i left the cookies in the table and walked out.
I came back to the restaurant and told that employee(male) how i felt about it. but it seem like it was nothing to him.
having this experience it's making me not to come back at this restaurant. and this evening is not just an ordinary night. its to celebrate my sons birthday with my relatives. i had paid $137.55 for this visit. and it's special night its my son birthday and supposed to be filled with happiness. and this situation made it really bad night.
this is a major concern for me as well as for others.
As customers we should be treated with respect. and a customer service is a major impact in any business. this restaurant should have a meeting about this so that it will not happen again.
