Great dive bar, karaoke 3 nights a week. OK, Old Town Tavern (aka "OTT") is a dive bar. It is off the beaten path, and I do believe that at one time about 75 years ago the building was probably a house. They have a great porch which is good for us smokers, they offer karaoke three nights a week, Monday night football, the occasional live band, and they have several of the little trivia/game consoles at the bar.

This is the only place I have ever been that has a 32oz beer! The price you pay for one of those beers seems to depend on who is tending bar and what mood they are in. Typically it is somewhere between 6 and 9 dollars.

Most of the time it is the 25 and over crowd, but Wednesday nights the children from IV come in on the drunk bus and try to pretend that this place is a club. I like it here every night but Wednesday...I will leave Wednesday nights for the crowds of children.

This is a great neighborhood bar that I will never get sick of coming to. Come in more than twice and you can consider yourself a regular.

This place doesn't follow the law!. This place should be avoided. They denied my foreign ID at the door. One thing is that I'm here on a legal student visa, following every rule I need to follow compared to all the illegal immigrants or visa-holders who work illegally etc. Another thing is that they denied my foreign ID (which in my case is my European driver's license which is accepted anywhere else in Santa Barbara), but they even refused to take a look at my passport. If I can't use my passport (which is one of the newest passports and which has more security holograms embedded in it than most US passports) as identification, then what can I use? Well, they told me to get a CA ID. I do think everything would be much easier if I had a CA ID, but the fact that they denied my passport by saying that this was an order by the SBPD is a lie. I talked to an officer who said this is highly discriminating (a passport is the ultimate ID) and this is NOT something the PD told them not to accept.

My friend (who's American) and I are both 21. We came to sing Karaoke, not to drink, but obviously this place doesn't follow the law. We made it to the door, but it looked like it sucked anyway. Don't go here! Next week they probably won't accept red haired people's ID's!

I dunno. It looks like an ice house from the outside - inside was a couple of pool tables, but the killer to me was the 80s hair metal kareoke - not my style
