The spinach ravioli is wonderful as is her fresh fruit dessert, minestrone, and everything else I have tried. Yes, the staff is all Italian, but I have not had any bad experiences with any of them. They have been child-friendly and accommodating. Perhaps the other reviewers are not familiar with Montecito...those people are not sycophants and they are comfortable with big money. I have even spotted Hollywood stars there gabbing on their phones "Guess where I am...MOLLIES!!!" As for the value, the bill was much easier to swallow (forgive the pun) than say, at the Four Seasons. I recommend it to my friends and they all say the same thing I do..YUM!
I won't return. Dissapointing on several occasions. The setting is beautiful, service is fine if not particularly friendly, and food is plated nicely but the actual taste is not very good, portions are small and prices are absurdly high for the quality.
Where do I start?. Our waitress did not speak english. Not a good start, as she brought my wife the pasta with tomatoes and cream sauce. My wife is allergic to cream; luckily we caught the mistake. The owner was at the table next to our trying on Jewelry with some saleswomen. She hugged the one other group in the restaurant as they left; she ignored us, though she created quite a bit of disruption and noise during our meal. Average food, above average A-ti-TUDE !!!
