Stayed on our way thru for a couple of days. The room was clean. No funny smells and a very comfie bed. There was a fridge and micro in the room but that was extra. It even has a walk in closet. Lots of channels on the TV if that is what your looking for. There is a coffee maker and hair dryer in the room along with a iron board if you need it. The staff was friendly. They dont offer a continental breakfast however they have a deal with the Dennys across the street where for 2 bucks per person you can pre pay for breakfast the next morning. We didnt do that because its only from 6am to 9am and hey we were on vacation, but if you are an early bird its a great deal. Would for sure stay here again. Its on the main street that leads to the beach but its a little bit of a drive. Worth the money tho. Enjoy.

Great location! Right in the heart of State Street! Not too far from other Santa Barbara festivities! Enough space I'm their rooms. Probably the lowest rates you will find in pricey Santa Barbara.

This is the perfect place to stay if you're traveling from northern california to southern, or vice versa and need a comfortable place to crash to break up the drive, or if you're on a budget and looking for a comfortable hotel. This hotel had really comfortable beds. My boyfriend slept through the entire night here without waking up once and he rarely does that. Yes, it is a bit older motel, and it doesn't have any amenities, but the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice too: immaculately clean, lots of counter space, and it had a good sized bathtub shower with good water pressure. It had a mini-fridge and a microwave, which was nice because we could bring back left overs and heat them up later. The owners were very nice, this was defiinitely a mom and pop owned kind of place. We got in at 1am, and we had obviously woke up the owner to check-in. He was very nice to us regardless, not a sign of grouchiness. They let us do a late check out too which we were very happy about. All in all I was very happy with Hacienda and I would definitely recommend it. So many places are overpriced in Santa Barbara, and this is great value. Oh and there was no strange smell that some of the other reviewers describe. I would definitely recommend the Hacienda Motel. I'd definitely stay here again.

My fiance and I stayed here for one night and found it exceeded all of our expectations. The amenities included a kitchenette, oversize bathrooms, and very large bedroom with new furniture. Other great amenities include free internet access, and plenty of parking. It's in a great location, within 10 minutes of all the great locations in Santa Barbara. Would definitely stay again!

Perect! This was a definte find amoung the high prices in S.B our room was clean, the front desk truly went beyond good service. The host of the hotel had been kind enough to return books I had tor return before I left. The location was great it was nice to visit the shops in the hub but felt great to retreat to our room... I don't think I would stay in any other hotel... the price,location and help was more than I expected for the price.

I recently came to town for an event and stayed at this motel. I booked it because it was affordable and in a good location. When I checked in, I was very satisfied, as my room was clean and had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and the television got a good amount of channels,. There was also air conditioning that kept the room very comfortable and cool. The location is a plus too, as a mall (La Cumbre Plaza) and two supermarkets (Vons and Gelson's) are within in walking distance. And last, but not least, the rates are good for anyone on a budget and you get extras in your room that other motels might charge extra for or might not even have at all. I recommend the Hacienda Motel to anyone planning a trip to Santa Barbara. And I forgot to mention that they provide free high speed internet, both wireless and wired, which is a must have for a business travelers.

I discovered the Hacienda back in 2006, and they just get better and better. They are family-owned, so you get more for the money than with a chain. I like the fridge and microwave, because Whole Foods is a half-block away (plus 2 other grocery stores, Peet's Coffee, Macy's and Ross in the area). I can fill up the fridge with healthy food if I want, or bad junk if I want that, and it costs way less than going out, and is more convenient besides. Have the wine all chilled for yourself when you get back to the room. (Their new breakfast situation sounds very good also: for $3.00 you get a ticket which you take to Denny's across the street, and get a whole bunch of food). The rooms are practically soundproof, and are bigger and cozier than the other motels. The maids are also very nice and considerate. My personal tip: cross State Street and walk up into the neighborhood there--it is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the country for walking and biking, with many urban creeks.

This motel was very clean, comfortable and provided us with everything we needed. The beds were cosy and allowed us to have a great sleep in between a big drive.

It is located far from downtown (approximately 4 miles) and we walked the whole way to the pier which took just over an hour. Great motel and if you're not keen to walk the distance, there is a public bus available.
