the best. I have eaten at many indian restaurants but flavor of india is number one on my list.
Awesome Indian Food. The food is great, you just have to know what level of spicyness that you like. I would always go for the medium. The Samosa's are good but the vindaloo and the tikka masala are awesome. The Khorma is very good too and so are the palak paneer and the aloo gobi for the veg heads. I would just order the combination plate so you don't have to order everything seperate. I can say that this was my first Indian Food place and after trying many many Indian places now all over California this is in the top of the list. Way better than Taj on Main Street where the flavors are kinda bland. The Tandoori is the best I've had anywhere and I love the rice pudding for dessert. I live in LA but if I'm ever around Santa Barbara, I would make my way to Flavor of India.
Tasty Food - Unique Flavors - Lovely People. Have eaten Indian food all from the east coast of this country to the west, up and down and all over. My husband and I passed through Santa Barbara on a road trip and arrived at FOI just barely before closing. The people were polite and happily allowed us to order. The samosas were delicious, as were the papadam (best ever had), the vegetable soup, and the Thali. Had to return next day for buffet...was equally delicious, highly flavorful and not too spicy. YUMM! Can't wait to go back.
