Always Willing to Answer Questions. Samy's is a Santa Barbara institution at this point. And to be such a long-standing business, you've gotta be doing a lot of stuff right. Samy's is disproportionately large for being in Santa Barbara. A town of 60k people doesn't deserve such a great camera store, but it's great that Samy's has hung around. Rental staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. They've even given me advice on ways to buy equipment elsewhere or ways to save on what they sell or rent. Super cool guys that are always willing to answer your questions.

They Have Everything You Could Imagine. The sales floor has just about everything you could imagine in the photography business, including some flatpanel TV's. The sales staff is as crazy awesome as the selection of merchandise they offer. While I can't speak for any other camera shops in SB, I can say that I will never hesitate to go to Samy's for any of my photography related needs.

The Best and Biggest. I always shop here for my photo gear needs unless it's for a very specific, manufacturer only specialty item. They have a great inventory and if they don't have something in stock they have been able to get it quickly. Samy's is the best and biggest photo chain on the West Coast.

Highly Recommended. They'll match legit online pricing without a hassle. (know from experience). Been a customer for over 10 years. They tend to keep sales people around for awhile so I always go back to the same guy. It's nice to be able to build business relationships like that.

So Awesome!. Last week I was in Santa Barbara for the first time in a few years. My camera had died, but I remembered going to this camera shop 4 years ago with a friend who was heavily into photography. I go to Samy's in Santa Ana regularly, so I trust their service. We strolled on over to see if they had any batteries or chargers that I could buy to recharge my baby. The place was busy, but we were helped promptly. They did in fact have both batteries and chargers (for a camera that they didn't even sell in their store!), but I was really hoping not to spend anything. So I took a shot and randomly asked if there was any way that they could charge my battery for me (I would have paid) and Clint said they would be happy to take it and I could pick the charged battery back up in about an hour. SO AWESOME. When I got back to pick it up, they charged me nothing and I left a very happy camper. Thanks guy, you saved my trip!
