My favorite Santa Barbara B and B for out of town friends and family who want to stay close to downtown. The Cheshire Cat hotel is a garden style bed and breakfast hotel just steps from the center of SB, very close to all the historical landmarks and favorite art museums. If your looking for a Santa Barbara Inn with a classy, elegant, traditional feel, this is it. The landscaping is amazing. The owners really put some TLC into creating the beautiful gardens that surround the hotel. If you are a green thumb, you'll appreciate the stunning bouquets of flowers sprouting from every corner of the hotel grounds. Hotel Staff are friendly and surprisingly knowledgeable (other hotels I have been to seem to hire people that do not know or care to know about local events and resources). Price is comparable to others in the area, but experience is much better, which is why I am giving Cheshire Cat the 5 star rating. I love sharing when I find a big value for my money. -Taylor Reaume
