one of a kind. this was a real treat! everything was wonderful, from the service to food to wine. this place is 5 star in my book. there is such attention to detail that you just don't seem to get anymore in most fine restaurants. we will be back very soon.

salt mines disguised. It was a weekend trip for 5 good friends and this place was recommended by one of the girls who had a good experience there before the new owners. Everything was disappointing. Our entrees came an hour late and our waitress came by only once to check on us for drinks, with no explanations or apologies. Even so, if the food was good, it would have been worth the wait but it was not. The two who ordered steaks, one ribeye, one NY, were medium rare on the inside, as requested, but the outside was well done and very chewy with no flavor. The duck was too chewy to eat. The Bougelais sauce was a thinned out steak sauce. Most dishes harbored a salt mine! The 2 fish entrees were good but when you factor in the price and the portion, they were 3 stars max. We left puckering our lips from being over salted, insulted by poor service and assaulted by really, really bad food disguised as fine dining.

Great service, Awesome Kobe Burger. This is a true California original with great food and an amazing wine list. The service is impeccable.

Really not what you would expect from the price or the rating.. Our biggest complaint was the service- had to ask for water refills a several times, once three times in a row, were never asked for bread and dishes took a long time to clear.

The setting was questionable, but OK- courtyard idea is cute even if the tables are, well, crappy, and the heating lamps scarily teetering. The food was mediocre to great- and at this price everything should be good or better. On second thought both food and service were really disappointing.

We did not take advantage of the extensive wine collection- but were impressed by what we saw.

Horrible experience. Our party was seated at the edge of the patio at a table with no heatlamps. When we asked 3 different staff members for a heatlamp we were finally told it would be intrusive to allow us to share one with the closest table (which had two)....this was by the manager..the most smug human being I've ever had the misfortune to encounter, I would have laughed at the absurdity if my party hadn't been upset, starving & by now freezing. We left, I've never in my life experienced such disregard for customer service.

Impressive. Excellent service and excellent food: what else do you want from a restaurant? The Wine Cask knows how to deliver both. The waiters were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to wait or even ask for water refills and the wine glasses never stood empty.

The smoked salmon and the escargots as appetizers were delicious as was the lamb T-bone and the seared ahi tuna as entrees. The wine list was impressive, although on the expensive side.

Overall a very enjoyable experience. I strongly recommend this place.
