can be romantic. The food is pretty good here but the ambience is the real draw, especially if you can snag one of the booths near the fireplace in the front room. The only drawback is the booths directly face each other so you're a little too close to the other couples. The room in the back is where they send most people; it's very noisy there though, the high ceilings and tile floors echo all the talking. This is probably the most popular Italian restaurant on State Street so I'd recommend making reservations if you can.
Average. Had lunch today @ Pascucci's. The service was very quick, almost too quick, but it was lunch so I can understand. My husband ordered the pizza which was very average. The dough was slightly sweet and nothing special. I had an ahi tuna panini. The ahi tuna claimed to be blackened, but really it was just cooked and rubbed with spices, in that order. It was on the same bread they bring out with the water, so that wasn't so special either. It was very affordable however, compared to other similar venues. Pizza and Pannini were about $9 each.
Great, great, great!. Absolutely great italian food. Very intense, unlike many places in LA that are simply blend. Their garlic bread can make it for a meal - it's sooooo yummy!!! I had pasta with shrimps and everything was just perfecto. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting SB. Perhaps gets busy in the evening (we showed up at 5pm to beat the Saturday crowd), but there's so much to do on State St. while waiting, that I don't see that being any problem.
one of my fave restaurants in santa barbara. i LOVE the garlic cheese bread that comes along with the dining. YUMMY!! i also love the pasta Bellagio. absolute fave! gets really crowded so its a good idea to make reservations or go early. gets especially busy on weekends.
good food ruuined by bad service, rude staff. good wine and appetizers. ok entrees. terrible service. would have to make request to waitstaff several times. nice patio on state street but staff took smoke breaks and had long loud phone conversations just feet from our table. ruined the ambience. would return for food if under different management.
A great Italian restaurant OVERALL.. Pascucci is wonderful. Very cute setting and great value. The food is delicious. Highyl reccommend!
Great Food, Busy Area. This is in Paseo Nuevo Shopping Mall. It's busy and crowded. Off hours are best. The food is great. Check it out regardless of time, they can run half-empty some weekday lunch times.
Service SUX!!! Not worth it at all.. Food was not that great, waiters are totally rude and dishonest. Told us to come back so they can seat us outside, waiter didn't even remember us when we returned, and didn't keep his promise of giving us a big table outside. Told us a different story and pushed responsibility to manager. Refused to put together two dinky little tables so it would fit our party three, turned out we had to cram into 1 small table with no arm room. Took forever for the waiter to take our order, water and bread arrived 15 minutes later. Food was cold, NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.
yummy and cheap. good food and very inexpensive. the rolls they give u while you wait are delicious and worth going there alone.
10. Owner, Laura Knight has set a high standard of quality and yet her entrees are priced below market. Service is fast and yet not obtrussive. One is allowed to dine ans enjoy. The dishes are unique and a first rate presentation. You can not go wrong having lunch or dinner at Pascucci's...and if there is a line just put your name in and wait...you will not be disappointed.
