I was wow'd.
I've only been here once so my mouthwateringly delicious steak could have been a fluke but I believe that it wasn't. The beans and rice were well done. Be sure to check out the extensive tequila list!

Nacho Ecstasy.
This place isn't trying to be a five-star restaurant ... it's just great, casual mexican food. I've travelled all over the country, sampling Mexican food all over, and for cheap/moderate food, this was the best!
The salsa bar is fresh and offers a huge variety. Get the steak nachos and an extra bag of chips (to support the gooey ones), along with a bottomless soda. Then, go to the salsa bar and grab about four different choices (I recommend the habanero salsa that looks like cole slaw!) along with some jalepenos. Now you're ready for a nacho fiesta! Take your time and enjoy ...

The humble home of sweet horchata and homemade tortillas keeps even the upscale Santa Barbara crowd coming back for more..
In Short
The bubbling fountain and the traditional Mexican folk art scattered on the walls make a soothing atmosphere in this tiny space by taking away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Santa Barbara. Mexican favorites, like enchiladas and golden-brown taquitos, are always served with warm chips and fresh salsa. Sides for each dish include black beans and rice, or a caesar salad for the more health conscious. The hefty portions and decent prices make it an unofficial hangout for starving students during the evening, while local business people keep the place very busy at lunchtime.
