Great tailor. I had a tailor in the past who was very nice but I always had to make an appt as he seemed to rarely be in the office. The last time I used his services, he had sewn a hem with brown thread to my blue linen pants. Then Tony's name was given to me by a few friends. I am surprised to read one reviewer who says Tony is often not there. I always find him or the gal who works with him in his office. He is polite, does great work and if you are not happy with the new fit, he will happily redo it for you. When you need something in a rush, he will do it for you at an additional cost. I do wish he was open on Saturday but perhaps he does great work because he knows how to have down time. My children like greeting him too!

Tony The Traitor. Tony The Tailor is unreliable. Bottom line. They are often closed with no note left or anything during regular business hours (stated as 11 to 5:30pm Mon thru Fri on answering machine). It's very frustrating when you have left work on your lunch break and only have limited time to deal with fitting. WARNING -- the price quoted on the phone is much less than the final price, as they wait until you are fitted to drop the bomb, that if you want your jeans hemmed within a week you will have to pay RUSH ORDER prices. Give me a break! I mean, how long does it take to hem jeans? That $220 pair of jeans that you saw at Blue Bee and then scored on line for $180 end up costing about the same, once you factor in the hemming costs. Plus you've suffered all the aggravation of showing up at Tony the Tailor's to find them closed YET AGAIN! Their work is on par with most other tailors but their attitude and professionalism is appalling. I would definitely NOT recommend.

Tony did an awesome job on my jeans!. I had just purchased a couple of pair of jeans from a well known jean store here in SB. I took them to Tony and he suggested that since they were brand new that I should wash them first as this could changes the length just slightly.

I even went back a few weeks later with a pair of jeans I had taken to another tailor here in SB that was very highly recommened to me because I wasn't happy with the color of thread they had used. When I put on the jeans for Tony to measure; turns out the right leg was 1/2 inch longer than the right leg.

Not only had the previous tailor done a sloppy job, but they charge more for hemming jeans.
