Terrible. The worst haircut I've had in my entire life. Unfortunately I didn't spot just how bad it was until I got home; that's presumably why they have the chairs so incredibly far from the mirrors - it's impossible to see just what a shoddy job they've done. It's uneven, she missed bits, and just looks really bad. While she was cutting my hair, I got the impression she kinda didn't give a damn, but thought I might just get lucky.

Fantastic Sam's is fantastic. Having natural curly hair, it can be tricky getting a good haircut. At Fantastic Sam's I get not a good haircut but a "fantastic" haircut Comparing my cut to the many cuts I've had in Carpinteria and Montecito, I would say "my" operator (stylist) is the winner!

Also they are really nice and you get free coffee and peppermints!

a horrible haircut. I've never actually had a bad haircut before, but the haircut I got at Fantastic Sam's was horrible. My regular stylist is gone for a month so I decided to take a chance, but they turned out awful. She tried to do layers and they are shaggy and uneven. The length is much shorter then I wanted. Normally layers and a cut add body to my hair, but this time it's limp and thin. I asked her to try to fix it and she said there wasn't anything she could do.

I guess this is what you get when you use one of these places, but now I'm going to have to spend even more money at a real salon to see if they can salvage this at all. Obviously, I would never, ever go back here or recommend this place to anyone.
