Great Work!. Went way over and above what I could have expected. I had a Power issue with my Dell PC. Nerds came over the same day within a few hours, with the proper parts. They fixed it within an hours time, tested it. And then they proceeded to assist in wiping some viruses from my PC and they provided some valuable tips for PC maintenance. I will for sure use these guys again. They are the best computer repair service in Santa Barbara as far as I'm concerned. Thank You!
SUPBERB CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been a customer of Nerds to the Rescue for over “six-years” and the PERSONAL SERVICE I GET IS EXCELLENT! They are HONEST, HELPFUL, AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. I had a laptop with a display problem, they could have sold me a major repair, but did not, and instead they explained it was a simple fix. In today's economic times it would have been easy to gouge me, but they didn't. INTEGRITY is important!!
FANTASTIC SERVICE!!!!!. Thursday morning and I boot my computer up and have a black screen!!! I managed to restore back 2 weeks but lost ALL MY DOCUMENTS!!!!! I near had a heart attack. I called Nerds to the Rescue and within an hour a tech named Charlie came to my house in and in no time flat, all my files were back!!!!! He took the time to explain what had happened and how to avoid future problems. He treated me with the utmost respect instead of somebody that does not understand all the insides of a computer. If you have a problem, you could not make a better choice than to call Nerds to the Rescue....you will not be sorry...you will be thrillled! Thank you guys!
Friendly and knowledgeable. Called them yesterday morning to see what's wrong with my computer. The guy on the phone listened to all of my questions and suggested what was the problem. He was very friendly, explained he was busy but could squeeze me in sometime during the day. Amazingly fast and friendly service and they definitely know their stuff! Will come back again.
Great Employees, Lying Advertising. This company advertises that they do NOT charge you if they don't fix the problem, with a promise that they don't charge by the hour, but by the job. I had a tech come to my office to fix 3 problems. He spent an hour but was only able to fix one of them (which was the easiest to resolve), yet I was charged for a full hour's labor despite the fact that two of my three issues remained unresolved. Very fraudulent advertising indeed. I would avoid this company at all costs
OMG - I am so disappointed.
I have used this service before with great results. However, dealing with the "lady" who answers the phone has always been a challenge. Today was the capper. I had to cancel my prior appointment (approx. 2-3 weeks ago) at the last minute because my mother, who died on June 1, was struggling and needed me. I called them at the last minute to let them know that I could not meet the repair person (Shon) at my house, that I was with my terminally ill mother. The "lady" on the phone said, "thanks for the advance notice - CLICK!"
Today against my better judgement, I called to make another appointment with Shon, and the "lady" smugly and flippantly informed me that I cancelled last time and didn't explain anything to her and therefore, she wanted me to "go elsewhere." I even told her that my mother's obit was in the paper and she could view it if she didn't believe me.
I was flabbergasted!!!!!!!! The worker bees are wonderful - this woman, who claims to be the owner, is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes I will go elsewhere. Shon informed me last time of who their biggest competitors are and I will be calling one of them.
Virus. I had an online test to take for accounting over at UCSB when I found out my computer was infected with some weird program asking for 80 to take virus off. I called the guys over at nerds and the came out right away. In less than 2 hours they had me up and running.
Honest staff. I called them when trying to find a new set of HP cooling fans for my ZD8000 (2004 model). They were honest and straight up that they "could" sell me a new fan step up from HP but they suggested that I try one of their COMPETITORS!!! for a better price. The time and $$ involved on that laptop isn't worth it.They even went on that i would be better off getting a new one on sale at best buy or order online. When the day comes that I need some other repairs I'll check these guys out for sure!! Any company that will openly suggest that their competition is better suited for an application means that they take their own work seriously and with integrity!!
Holy Toledo!. Oh...My...God...These guys are terrific! I thought I lost all of my photos of my mother who passed away recently. I don't know what kind of voodoo magic these guys perform in their "lab" (yes, they call it that), but they found all the photos! Anyway, I'm telling everyone about these guys! (now I'm tellin' you!)
I don't normally write reviews. When a company gives outstanding service, it needs to be acknowledged. These guys were great, on time and knew their stuff. My only complaint is that it's hard to get them out the same day because they're so popular, but I'd rather do business with someone who's got more business than they can handle versus someone who's sitting around waiting for phone calls. Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out.
