Great Breakfast, But.... My boyfriend and I had a very nice breakfast at Tupelo Junction Cafe. We both agree the decor, service, and food are above average. I couldn't decide between the smoked bacon, spinach, carmelized onion, tomato, gouda cheese scramble and the dungeness crab cake & potato hash w/avocado salsa, poached egg & beurre blanc. As it turns out, he ordered one and I ordered the other, so I was able to taste them both. Delicious!

On our second visit, we discovered something we definitely don't like. A few of the breakfast entrees -- like the breakfast burrito and the cheese scramble -- are served with salad as the default side order. Who wants SALAD for breakfast?! That rather odd pairing isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. I think the servers should inform customers about the salad side and offer a more suitable alternative. Our server never said a word.

Delish Breakfast. Fabulous cafe on State St. I bring my family here whenever we visit SB, especially in the morning. Don't miss the beniegts.

Best Breakfast in Santa Barbara!. Best breakfast in Santa Barbara! The staff and the atmosphere we found to be warm and friendly. My Earl Grey tea was brought already steeping in a mini teapot with dark honey on the side. My husband ordered the cinnamon apple beignets - melt-in-your-mouth goodness! His eggs, potatoes and bacon came w/a slice of banana bread. All were equally tasty, especially the smoked applewood bacon. I ordered the maple waffles with carmelized bananas and candied pecans! The syrup was in a very small container, and I thought I would absolutely need more. Turns out, the waffles were so good on their own, I didn't really need more syrup. The smokiness of the bacon was the perfect compliment to the waffles. The food is all made from scratch, and it certainly shows. Delicious food, inviting atmosphere. Tupelo Junction was our favorite spot for breakfast and next time we'll give lunch/dinner a try!
