i give this store zero stars. I took my camera in for repair, all on warranty, and they told me they would ship it out the next day 9/21/09 and it would be done 10/7/09. I finally got sick of checking with the incompetent people at the Best buy store, and looked up the repair company online and contacted them. They said it wasn't shipped out for 8 days, they only received it on 10/2/09 and then ordered parts on 10/5/09. The website says it takes 3-10 days to get the parts. Today is 10/23/09 and they still haven't received the parts--that's 18 days! Then the lady said it will take another 3 days or so for the technician to repair it, and then it should be to the store in a week. Lousy, rude, very unfriendly staff at Best Buy in Santa Maria. I explained I had some things coming up and needed my camera, so I needed a true time of how long it would take to get it repaired--it will be probably AT LEAST a month behind their timeline. All I needed fixed was the battery latch and the hook that your camera strap goes on. These are very common problems, especially the battery latch, why wouldn't they have the parts in stock? My camera better be in perfect shape when I finally get it, or I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I don't know how many products we've purchased there, and ALWAYS bought the extra warranty...this is the first time to ever use one, and it is LOUSY service. I am going to file a compaint with the manager, or keep going, when I finally get my camera back. I've had to purchase throw away cameras, and rolls of film (that no one develops anymore) so, they should pay for all of those costs! DO NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES----!!!!!!!!!!
