In and Out.......
College kids runs this place. It is busy. The menu is very limited. I like the burgers. I get two, no chese, no lettuce. but yes to sliced tomato and sliced onion. You can get friend onions, but they taste like mush and look worse. They dont know how to fry onions. I do the drive through and ask for it in a box. Its better than a bag. I say no to the french fries. They are narrow and thin, so in my book they are not potatoes, just little grease sponges. All the beverages have corn syrup, except water. I ask for water. The food is good, and the burger is thinner than the sliced onion. I like this place and visit it often.

Great burgers, long wait.
In & Out has the best burgers in town, and that is really saying something for a place like Santa Barbara, that prides itself on the culinary experience to be found here. The bad part about that is that there is only one location in town, and there are always lines and long waits. They are very efficient, but the crowds are impossible to keep up with. I wish someone would open another one in Santa Barbara to relieve some of the traffic to this one.

The country's first drive-thru chain with made-from-scratch burgers and a devout following..
In Short
Founded in 1948, In-N-Out locations are known for their eye-catching yellow-arrow logo and spic-and-span red and white interiors. The streamlined menu includes fries, beverages and three types of hamburgers. These all-beef burgers are topped with fresh vegetables and Thousand Island-like dressing on griddled buns with optional American cheese; fries--oversized potatoes with the skins still on--are dunked in cholesterol-free cottonseed oil until just the outsides are done.
