Cabrillo Inn at the Beach

Wonderful small inn for a weekend getaway. I recently stayed a weekend at this lovely inn, as I was in Santa Barbara for a wedding. Check in was simple, and we had what seemed to be a fairly exclusive room on the 3rd floor with only two neighboring rooms. The view of the Pacific ocean from the front of our room, which was nearly the width of the room was just wonderful. Although it looks out onto busy Cabrillo Blvd, when the traffic calmed down in the evening, I could hear the seals barking. It was just GREAT!

The room was spacious and comfortable...and I was able to just relax in relative quiet. No little kids running up and down hallways. Was able to also sit out on the patio and visit with other guests. Overall, just a lovely stay in Santa Barbara. Also knowing that the inn is owned and operated by a family and not a huge corporation makes it nice. Giving business to independent hoteliers who pay close attention to their guests is something I'm willing to do, even if I'm paying a little more than I'd prefer....which, by the way, is not the case at Cabrillo. The rates were reasonable in this market of overpriced rooms.…
