An architectural masterpiece in a premier historic 'hood.. The Scene
This beautifully restored Victorian dates back to 1874 and is known as one of America's best B&Bs. It's located in Santa Barbara's quaintest neighborhood, a place where it feels as if time has stood still. Just a short stroll away is lovely Alameda Park, the landmark Courthouse and the charms of State Street, a bustling strip lined with pubs, cafes and unique shops.

The house features a wide porch and is surrounded by hedges and an acre of private gardens. Beautifully appointed and individually decorated guest rooms and cottages display impressive collections of antiques. The generous breakfast is served on the veranda and includes such specialties as strawberry crêpes and apple French toast. Every afternoon, a wine and hors d'oeuvres hour takes guests on a virtual tasting tour of this gourmet wine-growing region.
